We breed small cows for small
farms!
Hall’s Croft Farm, a member of the
American Dexter Association and
the
Purebred Dexter Cattle Association of North
America, specializes in the breeding of registered
black polled and horned Dexter cattle. The farm, located in Saluda
County, is in the Western Piedmont area of South Carolina.
Owned by Domer and Jackie Ridings, Hall’s Croft Farm began
building its herd of Dexter cattle in 2001 with the purchase of a
bred female, Molly. Molly produced a heifer calf in the fall of
2001. In the spring of 2002 a bull, Billy, was acquired and there
are now 7 cows.
Expansion of the herd to 25 cows is planned over the next few
years and new facilities are being constructed to accommodate this
growth.
